C4F: Slip next 2 sts to cable
needle and hold to front of work, k2, k2 from cable needle.
RLI (Right Lifted Increase): Use the right needle to pick up the stitch below the next stitch on the left needle. Place it on the left needle, then knit into it. 1 stitch has been increased.
LLI (Left Lifted Increase): Use the left needle to pick up the stitch 2 rows below the last stitch on the right needle. Knit into this stitch. 1 stitch has been increased.
Beaded Bind Off (Worked over a multiple of 4 sts):

 YOKE AND BODICE
Using US #8/5mm circular needle, CO 63[67, 70, 72, 76, 79, 81]
sts. Do not join work.
Set-Up Row [RS]: K1, place marker, [k1, m1] 14[15, 16, 16, 17, 18, 18] times, place marker, k33[35, 36, 38, 40, 41, 43], place marker, [k1, m1] 14[15, 16, 16, 17, 18, 18] times, place marker, k1.
91[97, 102, 104, 110, 115, 117] sts.
Odd-Numbered Rows 1-5 [WS]: P all sts.
Row 2 [RS]: [K to marker, RLI, slip marker, LLI] 4 times, k to end.
Row 4 [RS]: Work as for Row 2.
Row 6 [RS]: K1, m1, [k to marker, RLI, slip marker, LLI] 4 times, k to last st, m1, k1.
Repeat these 6 rows 4[5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8] times more. 221[253, 284, 312, 318, 349, 351] sts.
Sizes S, M, 1X Only:
Repeat Rows 1-2 -[1, 2, -, 2, -, -] times more. -[-261, 300, -, 334, -, -] sts.
All Sizes:
P 1 row.
The sts before the first marker and after the last marker form the upper fronts of the sweater. The sts between the second and third markers form the back, and the remaining 2 sets of sts form the sleeves. Each front section has 21[26, 31, 33, 35, 37, 37] sts, each sleeve has 58[68, 78, 80, 86, 90, 90] sts, and the back has 63[73, 82, 86, 92, 95, 97] sts.
 Divide Sleeves and Body:
Remove markers as you work the next round.
Next Round: K to first marker, place next 58[68, 78, 80, 86, 90, 90] sts (all sts to second marker) on waste yarn for sleeve, CO 4[4, 4, 8, 12, 18, 24] sts for underarm, k to third marker, place all sts to fourth marker on waste yarn for sleeve, CO 4[4, 4, 8, 12, 18, 24] sts for underarm, k to end, CO 21[21, 20, 20, 22, 21, 23] sts for front neckline, join to work in the round, k to center of first set of cast-on underarm sts, place marker to indicate beginning of round. 134[154, 172, 188, 208, 226, 242] sts.
Work in stockinette st until bodice is long enough to reach 1-2 inches below the bust; transfer sts to waste yarn and try on bodice to determine correct length. This should be between 4-7 inches below underarm; sweater shown measures 5.5 inches.
Next Round: K0[4, 0, 4, 0, 6, 0], [k2tog, k65(13, 41, 21, 50, 20, 119)] 2[10, 4, 8, 4, 10, 2] times. 132[144, 168, 180, 204, 216, 240] sts.
SKIRT
Set-up Round: Using US #9/5.5mm circular needle, [k4, p1, m1, p1] to end. 154[168, 196, 210, 238, 252, 280] sts.
Work skirt using US #9/5.5mm needle throughout.
Round 1: [C4F, p3, k4, p3] to end.
Rounds 2-3: [K4, p3] to end.
Round 4: [K4, p3, C4F, p3] to end.
Rounds 5-6: [K4, p3] to end.
Round 7: [C4F, p1, m1, p2, k4, p1, m1, p2] to end. 176[192, 224, 240, 272, 288, 320] sts.
Rounds 8-9: [K4, p4] to end.
Round 10: [K4, p4, C4F, p4] to end.
Rounds 11-12: [K4, p4] to end.
Round 13: [C4F, p4, k4, p4] to end.
Repeat Rounds 8-13 until skirt measures approx. 11 inches or desired length, ending with Round
9 or Round 12.
BO all sts using Sewn Bind Off.
 SLEEVES
Transfer held sts of one sleeve to double-point needles. Join yarn and k all sleeve sts, then pick up and k 1 st in each CO st at underarm. 62 [72, 82, 88, 98, 108, 114] sts.
Join work and k 1 round.
Shape Sleeves:
Round
1: K6[0, 2, 0, 2, 4, 2], [k2tog, k6] to end. 55[63, 72, 77, 86, 95, 100] sts.
Round 2:
Sizes XS, S, M, L, 2X, 3X Only: K6[0, 2, 0, -, 4, 2], [k2tog, k5] to end. 48[54, 62, 66, -, 82, 86] sts.
Size
1X Only: K2tog, [k5, k2tog] to end. 73 sts.
Round 3:
Sizes XS, M, L, 3X Only: K0[-, 2, 6, -, -, 2], [k2tog, k4] to end. 40[-, 52, 56, -, -, 72] sts.
Sizes S, 1X Only: K-[4, -, -, 8, -, -], [k2tog, k3] to end. -[44, -, -, 60, -, -] sts.
Size
2X Only: K2, k2tog, [k4, k2tog] to end. 68 sts.
All Sizes:
Rounds
4-7: [K1, p1] to end.
BO all sts using Beaded Bind Off.
Neckline Edging:
With RS facing and beginning at back left corner of neckline, pick up and k 1 st in each cast-on st and 3 sts for every 4 rows around neckline. Place marker and join to work in the round.
Count sts on needle; in the next round, increase or decrease up to 2 sts if necessary to obtain a multiple of 4 sts.
Next Round: [K1, p1] to end.
BO all sts using Beaded Bind Off.
Work the second sleeve in the same way. |
